The 2018 beneficiary is Habitat for Humanity of Walton County.

Rosemary Beach is a unique and picturesque beach town that brings an island charm and style to the eastern end of South Walton. One of a handful of New Urban towns on Scenic 30A, it’s a place that’s meant to be experienced on foot or by bike. Its narrow streets and paths are begging to be explored.

This annual dance festival features dance artists from professional companies around the globe to the newly constructed Seaside Lyceum Stage for a weekend celebration of exceptional dance artistry. The Seaside Dance Festival offers a variety of dance style performances by professionals which include ballet, contemporary, tap, hip hop, jazz, modern, neo-classical and more. This year, the Seaside Dance Festival features performances from New York Dance Project, Paul Taylor II, Complexions, Rasta Thomas, Gwen Gussman, Sarah Wolff, and Florida Ballet.

Come see Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach on March 18-20, 2018. This is a one-of-a-kind projection art festival where artists use the latest digital technologies to project their original works onto the iconic white walls of Alys Beach.

Sometimes referred to as “Photon Bombing,” “Guerilla Projection” or “Urban Projection,” underground artists around the globe have been using the latest design, animation and projection technologies for many years to cast dynamic images onto skyscrapers and other urban structures as a means of artistic expression. Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach is a festival geared towards bringing these artists together in one place to celebrate and showcase their unique talents.

Each year, the festival attracts digital artists, filmmakers, musicians, interactive designers, photographers, VJs, producers, celebrities, agency executives and fans of art, technology and architecture. Thousands of dollars in cash prizes are awarded to artists, with digital submissions being received from as far away as Israel, Austria, Canada, Germany, London, India, France, Italy and China. On March 4, 2018, the 16th Annual SEASIDE SCHOOL HALF MARATHON & 5K RUN takes place in Seaside, Florida. This memorable run offers an out-and-back, fast and mostly flat course where you will run past quaint beach towns, rare coastal dune lakes, and some of the most beautiful, sugar-sand beaches in all of the country. All finishers will be awarded a Vera Bradley tote! In addition, half-marathon competitors will receive a custom finisher’s medallion at the finish line, and both race category participants get a moisture-wicking technical shirt. Celebrate at the post-race party and enjoy live music.

Topsail Talks: Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Artificial Reef

Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for a Topsail Talks Educational Discovery Series on Friday, Feb. 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. South Walton Artificial Reef Association will discuss the seahorse reef installed at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. The snorkel reefs are close enough to the shore that they can be reached by kayak or paddle board, so snorkelers or divers can access them from the beach.

Twelve additional dive reefs will also be constructed – 9 of them will be near shore fish/dive reefs located about 2/3 miles off the beach and in about 60 feet of water. The other 3 are classified as fish havens/reef sights and will be located 3-7 miles offshore in about 80 feet of water. The off-shore reefs are the perfect destination for SCUBA divers to explore via a charter boat in Walton County!

The seventh annual 30A Wine Festival returns to the beautiful community of Alys Beach on Thursday, February 22 through Sunday, February 25, 2018. Showcasing renowned vintners and culinary favorites, the four-day celebration will benefit Children’s Volunteer Health Network. The festival kicks with a special wine dinner featuring a four-course meal prepared by Alys Beach Executive Chef Drew Dzejak. Next weekend is the wonderful, annual 30A Songwiters Festival! Pictured are some of the artists that will be at the festival: Ann Wilson (from Heart), Paul Thorn, Kathy Mattea and Aason Lee Tasjan. A few of the many other artists at the festival are Emmylou Harris, The Zombies, Lee Ann Womack, Emily Sailers, Shawn Mullins and many others!

The 9th annual 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL is set for January 12-14 2018. The festival, held in venues along Scenic Highway 30A in Florida’s South Walton County, is the perfect mix of cool beach weather and red-hot music on MLK holiday weekend each year. More than 175 artists perform in this truly wonderful weekend of music. Artists will perform multitudes of live performances in intimate venues and large amphitheaters throughout South Walton.

First Day Hike at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you and your family to come out for a First Day Hike on January 1 with two hikes scheduled this year. Enjoy the first day of the New Year leisurely exploring the park with a Ranger to learn about the park and its wildlife.

First Day Hike Jan 1 2018
9am – 11:30am: 4 mile hike
2pm – 3:30pm: 1.5 mile hike

Participants attending at 9:00am will enjoy a longer four mile round trip hike. Those coming at 2:00pm will enjoy an easier mile and a half walk. Both trails are relatively flat with roots, rock and dirt. To enjoy the First Day Hike to the fullest, wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. Bring water bottle, hat and sunscreen. Please check in at the Ranger Station for starting location.Program is free with regular park admission.

A Park Ranger will take you on a hike along the north side of the Turpentine Trail. Participants will learn about the park, its wildlife, and the turpentine industry that thrived here in the late 1800’s. Enter the park through the main gate and park staff will direct you to tram stop 2. Pet friendly event.

About Our Property

This quality built, furnished home south of Scenic Highway 30A in Seagrove Beach is approximately a 3 minute walk from one of two neighborhood pools at Summer's Edge, and approximately a four and a half minute walk from the beach access. Features include 10-foot ceilings on the first floor, 9-foot ceilings on the second floor and vaulted ceilings on the third floor, all of which are accentuated by 8-foot doors with upgraded oil-rubbed bronze hardware. Each of its three floors feature covered Trex porches with additional sun decks on the third floor that capture Gulf views. Beautiful Brazilian teak hardwood floors exemplify the many fine features found throughout this home. They are joined by travertine stone floors in the master bath, porcelain tile floors in the guest baths, heavy crown molding as well as very tasteful plumbing and lighting fixtures.
